Ilia Darchiashvili met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands

The Georgian Foreign Minister thanked the Netherlands for its support of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as its European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
 
Wopke Hoekstra reaffirmed the desire of the Netherlands to strengthen cooperation with the Eastern Partnership countries, including with Georgia, which was reflected in the Foreign and Security Policy of the Netherlands. Georgia's progress on both European and Euro-Atlantic integration was also noted. Special attention was paid to Georgia’s EU application. The Georgian side expressed the hope that the Netherlands will support Georgia's European aspirations.
 
Discussing the security environment in the region, the Ministers praised Georgia's support for Ukraine, focused on the challenges facing Georgia, the situation in the occupied territories, and thanked the Dutch Foreign Minister for his active involvement in the EU Monitoring Mission, which is an important tool for preventing escalation and ensuring stability on the ground.
 
The Ministers positively apprised the high-level ties between Georgia and the Netherlands, including the high dynamics of communication between the Prime Ministers. The importance of exchanging high-level visits was also emphasized. The Georgian Foreign Minister invited his Dutch counterpart to pay an official visit to Georgia.
