On 17th of July 2020, Head of the Mission of Georgia to NATO, Ambassador Victor Dolidze held a meeting with NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoana.
Ambassador thanked Deputy Secretary General for unwavering support to Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic integration process. During the meeting, the sides discussed Georgia’s NATO membership process, plans for future cooperation, ongoing reforms in Georgia and preparation for the upcoming parliamentary elections.
Mr. Dolidze and Mr. Geoana also discussed the existing security situation in the region and “NATO-2030” process aimed at strengthening NATO’s political role.
At the end of the meeting, Head of the Georgian Mission asked NATO Deputy Secretary General, as existing pandemic situation permits, to consider the earliest opportunity for visiting Georgia.
